to buy?
Any smart investor will tell you to buy low and to sell high, right. So when is the best time to buy real estate. Well the US housing market has been in decline since the middle of 2005. Prior to that time northern Maryland experienced record increases in home values and the big question at that time was, "When will the bubble burst?" Well, we now know the answer to that question. The bubble did in fact burst and home prices have been coming down ever since. So is now the right time to buy? Well, based on my experience I say the answer is an overwhelming yes. There are a lot of great deals to be had RIGHT NOW! Interest rates have remained very low and most home sellers are VERY motivated right now. Lots of homes have been sitting on the market for a while and many sellers are ready to deal. In addition, with the Base Closure and Realignment (BRAC) relocating several thousand jobs to Aberdeen Proving Ground over the next few years the local real estate market is likely to improve and values to begin increasing sooner here than in other parts of the country. This is as simple as supply and demand. If a bunch of buyers are coming in to a market, the demand for housing will spike, which will drive values back up. NOW really is a great time to buy!
